Madame Whiskers - A Must Know Etsy Shop

 

Greetings everyone! I don’t know about you, but I like to think that I am an eclectic person. A little shabby chic, a little steampunk, rocker, vintage, urban, early American…so many things that I like to call my style. Today’s shop “Madame Whiskers” is just another side of my style, shining through this sweetheart of a lady! Not only was I able to interview Madeline (our lovely shop owner), but she also sent a pair of earrings for me to review! Following our interview Check out the earrings up close and glossy!! 

The Interview

Building Bridges: Please introduce yourself!

My name Is Madeline Gomez. I'm 20 years old and I live in Southern California. I enjoy crafting, reading, collecting comic books, records, and antiques. (to the right is me and my partner in crime Tyler Wise)

Building Bridges:  Why did you choose the name of your business?


I choose the name of my business because I am a cat lady, I have 4 cats right now and still want more haha so it seemed very fitting and unique.

Building Bridges:  Why did you decide to open a shop on Etsy?

 I started selling my accessories at craft fairs and local artwalks and I was asked a lot by people to open an online shop so I thought Etsy was the most user friendly place to sell my crafts.

Building Bridges: What was your first product that sold?

The first item I ever sold on Etsy was a Harley Quinn bow

Building Bridges: What is your favorite item you make and why?

My favorite items that I make right now are my comic book flowers. They are my favorite because they are the most unique thing I make and they are made from real comic books.

The Product Review

After finding Madeline’s shop and asking if she would be interested in a feature I was beyond thrilled that she was interested in sending me a pair of her COMIC-LICOUS” Harley Quinn earrings to review…Why would I be so thrilled to review this product?? 1) they’re EARRINGS - enough said. 2) It’s HARLEY QUINN (one of the ultimate villainess). When opening my package in the mail I was also surprised that she added a handmade Harley Quinn Button! Etsians are just the sweetest, most thoughtful people in the world!

These fashion earrings are light weight and ready to be worn to a fun party or comic convention! All of your geeky friends are sure to be as jealous as “Poison Ivy” when they see you sporting this fashionable pair!

The Harley Quinn image is delicately placed within the silver painted earring “frame” and coated with a clear resin that is not tacky in the slightest. It is perfectly smooth and I love to wear these around with a Joker shirt I picked up (at Hot Topic).

The earring’s image and size is large enough to be noticed and not hidden in one’s hair, but also not too large that it hurts your head or taps your neck when you turn your head. It’s the perfect size for the image to be seen even from a distance.
