Feature Story - A Look at "For Tails Only"

This week’s feature story is brought to you by Heather Weaver – a direct sales rep, who works with For Tails Only! Being animal lovers (especially dogs!) over here at Building Bridges Marketing, we were very excited when Heather approached us with interest to have an interview about the company she works for! Read on below for our interview.

Building Bridges: Tell us a little bit about you, your family, and what you like to do for fun!

  

HeatherWeaver:  I am a retired, disabled, Air Force veteran.  I am the mother to two amazing boys.  Zachary is 6 and Kyle is 5.  After a not so great marriage, I eventually met my soul mate.  My boyfriend, August, is always there for me and my boys.  This is a family business for us.  We have two Teddy Roosevelt Rat Terriers, Dawson and Simba. They are 4 year old littermates.

For fun we enjoy watching shows or listening to talk shows on Sirius XM.  While doing so, and after, we analyze and talk about what we saw or what was heard.  August is a psychologist and I am currently in school to earn my degree in psychology.

We also enjoy taking the kids to the zoo & park.  Our family enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s just sitting around the grill talking or going for a nice walk.

Building Bridges: So Heather, why did you decide to work with For Tails Only? 

Heather Weaver: When For Tails Only came into my life, I was not looking to join a direct sales company.  I had tried others in the past and they ended up being a waste of money for me.  No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t make them work.  I have always been an animal lover and my friend, Randi, knew this.  One afternoon she messaged me on Facebook, letting me know about a new company that was in the pre-launch stages.  That company was For Tails Only.  Randi had signed up under one of the first “Handlers” and although I was a little hesitant to jump into another direct sales company, I took a chance with For Tails Only.  I loved that all the treats were 100% made in the United States.  Not only that, but the treats, toys, and other products came from little “Ma and Pa” shops across America.  Being an animal lover and having two furry babies of my own, I knew this was the perfect fit for my family.

Building Bridges: Heather, we just love that! Sometimes the best things in life come to us when we are not expecting it! Do you have any shop promo discounts, if so when do they end?

Building Bridges: What is your favorite part about working for yourself?

Heather Weaver: As I mentioned before, I am a retired, disabled veteran.  My disability is in my back and there are times when I have difficulty moving and walking.  My pain is constant with random jolts of pain.  Because of this and the fact that it is getting worse over time, I am unable to hold a regular job.  I’m not the type of person who can just lay back and do nothing.  I have to keep busy.  Owning my own business, allows me to have control again. Not only that, but it gives me the freedom to also be there for my children.  When I was active duty, I missed out on so much.  Working for myself, I have the opportunity to attend field trips or have lunch with my kids.

Building Bridges: Do you have any advice for others looking to work in direct sales and what was the best advice you received?

Heather Weaver: Whether it’s getting into direct sales or selling your own creations, don’t be afraid to take that chance.  If you feel passionate about something, go for it! “Never give up” was and is the best advice I have received.

Building Bridges: We love to attend festivals and vendor markets, do you?

Heather Weaver: Yes I do!  In fact I will be at the following locations in May:

Building Bridges: What is your favorite item that you sell?

Heather Weaver: I prefer to promote items I have tried and used, more so than ones I have not.  I don’t like to promote something I have not tried and I will not tell you something is great if I have not tried it.  Out of all our products, my favorite to promote is Canine Calm over all others.  The reason being is that it works! 

I tell my customers, it’s like Xanax for your dog. I use it on Simba and Dawson.  Dawson is not aggressive, but protective.  If he doesn’t know you, you aren’t coming near his family.  He has snapped at people in the past and actually bit one of our friends while he was helping us move.  However, once I put the Canine Calm on him, it’s like a completely different dog.  He doesn’t care who you are or what you are doing. 

Canine Calm helps dogs with stress, fear, and anxiety issues.  Simba used to hate car rides.  So much that he wouldn’t even walk towards the parking lot.  When he did get into the car, he would hide at the floor of the front passenger seat and just shake.  After using Canine Calm, he now loves car rides.  He sits in the front passenger seat and just smiles.  He loves it! Canine Calm, is also the most popular item that I sell, along with Crack!TM Bars.

Building Bridges: Anything else you would like to be added to your feature?
